Location Information Terms

1. Purpose

These Location Information Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the App and Users in relation to location-based services provided through the App.

2. Definitions

1. "Location information" means data about the geographical position of a person or device at a particular point in time, including coordinates derived from GPS, Wi-Fi or cellular network signals.
2. "Location-based services" means services provided by the App that utilise location information.

3. Location-Based Services

The App provides the following location-based services:

1. Current location display: Showing your current position on the map
2. Trip location recording: Saving place coordinates to trip itineraries
3. Route display: Displaying travel routes between itinerary locations on the map
4. Nearby place search: Searching for nearby attractions, restaurants and points of interest based on your current location

4. How We Collect Location Information

1. The App collects location information from your device using GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular network signals.
2. Location information is only collected when you have explicitly granted location access permission within the App. You will be prompted to consent before any collection occurs.
3. The App collects location information only while the App is in the foreground (i.e., while you are actively using the App). The App does not perform background location tracking.

6. Third-Party Provision of Location Information

1. The App will not disclose your location information to any third party without your consent.
2. However, when you choose to share a trip itinerary with another User, the place coordinates included in that itinerary will be visible to the person(s) with whom you share it.
3. Location information may be transmitted to Google LLC (United States) for the purpose of rendering map tiles, geocoding and place search functionality via the Google Maps API. This transmission is subject to Google's privacy policy.

7. Your Rights

1. You may withdraw your consent to location information collection at any time.
   • How to withdraw consent: Go to your device Settings > Pinny > Location > set to "Never"
2. You may request access to, or correction of, the location information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.
3. Withdrawing location consent may limit the availability of certain features of the Service (e.g., current location display, nearby place search).
4. You may delete all stored location information by deleting your account via Settings > Delete Account.

8. Children

The App does not knowingly collect location information from children under 15 years of age.

9. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your location information, you may:

1. Contact our Privacy Officer at the address below;
2. If not satisfied with our response, lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
